SHAH ALAM: Police believed they have busted a syndicate involved in vice and the smuggling of cigarettes with the arrests of three men and a foreign woman at a house in Taman Sentosa in Kapar here.

The police also found 1,000 cartons of various brands of imported cigarettes worth RM85,000 during the 11pm raid on Monday.

State Deputy CID chief Asst Comm Abdul Rahman Hussin said the men, aged between 45 and 50 years old, had been operating from the single-storey terrace house for about a year.

He said the syndicate had also turned the three-bedroom house into a prostitution den.

“All the bedrooms were furnished with beds to entertain customers. We also found 15 packets of condoms,” he added.

ACP Abdul Rahman said their preliminary investigations re-vealed that the 30-year-old woman arrested was a Chinese national who had overstayed after entering the country on a social visa.

He said she had been working as a prostitute for the syndicate.

“All four will be charged in court after investigations are completed,” he added.
