MPs are worried that water tariffs will still go up despite the Government’s assurance that water concessionaires will not be able to raise prices as they please.
Debating the Constitution Amendment Bill 2004, several MPs kept referring to the recent toll rise and implied that the Government would continue to burden the people despite strong protests over the matter.
