Bus leaving Cameron plunges into ravine, killing 5 passengers

IPOH: The festive mood came to a tragic end for 21 holidaymakers when their bus plunged into a ravine, killing five passengers and leaving the rest seriously injured, about an hour after they left Cameron Highlands yesterday.

The impact tore the roof off the Kurnia Bistari express bus and threw out two passengers, killing them instantly as the bus crashed 25m to the bottom of the ravine at the 12th kilometre of the recently-completed Simpang Pulai-Kampung Raja road.
