CAMERON HIGHLANDS: The Government is planning drastic measures, including constant air surveillance and building of retention ponds in farms, to protect the environment and water quality here.
Deputy Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk S. Sothinathan said big farms would be asked to build retention ponds to reduce the amount of sediment flowing into rivers and lakes.
