KUALA LUMPUR: Perwaja Steel Sdn Bhd’s former Treasury Section manager issued a letter to a bank to pay RM76.4mil to NKK Corporation, Japan (NKK) without mandatory supporting documents following instructions from former managing director Tan Sri Eric Chia Eng Hock, a Sessions Court heard.
Mohd Noor Mahat, 50, said he only prepared a payment voucher a day after the bank instruction letter was issued on Feb 22, 1994.
