Copter carrying VIPs missing

MISSING: (July 12 to July 16) Sarawak Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department Dr Judson Tagal was reported missing with five other executives and officials who were travelling on board a Bell helicopter from Bario to Bakelalan in the interior highlands of northern Sarawak. By Friday, the group had still not been found. 

VITAL LINK: (July 10) The Prime Minister wants the police to play a more effective role so as to become the link between the Government and the people. Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said that as the link, the police should voice the aspirations, wishes or unhappiness of the people to the Government. The police should also channel government aspirations to the people and act as agents of change by bringing new ideas to society, he said.
