PENANG: Food poisoning, the arduous journey and immigration problems have not deterred a group of student backpackers from continuing their 5,000km journey to the Great Wall of China to spread the peace message.
Charged with enthusiasm and determination, the 12-member Backpackers for Peace group from Universiti Sains Malaysia here is on a 20-day mission through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and China to promote goodwill, understanding and harmony.
