‘Educate ‘specific ‘groups ‘on AIDS’

KUALA LUMPUR: Campaigns relating to HIV/AIDS should address specific segments of society so that they are effective in educating the public about the disease, said Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC) president Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir. 

She said the rise of new reported AIDS cases among women last year, showed that earlier campaigns were somewhat unsuccessful as they created stereotypes about who were most likely to be infected with HIV.
