Sinar FM to hit the air tomorrow

PETALING JAYA: Klang Valley listeners will get to tune in to the country’s latest radio station when Sinar FM makes its debut tomorrow, ahead of a national launch to be announced later. 

The 24-hour station, on 96.7FM, will air music from the late 1960s to the '80s as well as from evergreen artistes. 

Managed by AMP Radio Networks, which currently runs ERA, MyFM, Hitz.fm, MixFM and Light & Easy, the new station will broadcast in Malay and be tailored to an audience which it feels is under-served at the moment. 

In a press statement here, Sinar FM general manager Kudsia Kahar said it would satisfy the demand of radio listeners for tunes from Datuk Sharifah Aini, the late Sudirman, Siti Nurhaliza, Alleycats, Search and The Blues Gang, among others.
