KUALA LUMPUR: Students applying for a study loan exceeding RM20,000 from the MIC’s Maju Institute of Educational Development (MIED) may have to provide collateral.
MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said the MIED might be forced to do this as many of its borrowers failed to settle their loans upon completing their studies.
