KUANTAN: There is no evidence that the British-made Hawk Mk108 fighter trainer aircraft is unsuitable for training Malaysian fighter pilots, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said.

He said the Hawk was used by Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) pilots to conduct difficult aerial training and they must chalk up a certain number of flying hours before graduating to fly MiG-29 or F/A-18.
