KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Education Minister Datuk Hon Choon Kim has advised students called up for national service to appeal for a deferment should the training interfere with their studies.
“The purpose of national service is not to disrupt students’ studies. This is a promise made when the programme was first introduced,” he said.
