KUALA LUMPUR: Ten thousands litres of water. That was the amount required to fill up the 41.15m long by 18.29m wide ice-skating rink used for Disney on Ice's Beauty and the Beast show.

The rink will begin with an underlay of about 100 metal pieces (measuring 0.76m by 9.15m each) that will act as a freezing material. They must first be cooled and maintained at 2°C before water can be sprayed on, a layer at a time.
