KUALA LUMPUR: A mammoth dinner by the Chinese community to welcome and pledge full support for Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as the nation’s fifth Prime Minister will be held at Bukit Jalil Stadium here on Dec 20.

MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting said this would be a historical event as it would be the biggest ever gathering jointly organised by the MCA, Gerakan, SUPP, SAPP and LDP (the five Chinese-based parties in the Barisan Nasional) together with the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia, Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industries Malaysia and seven major clan associations.
