MALACCA: The state government will intervene over the delayed payment of some RM100,000 in compensation to fishermen from the Portuguese Settlement by DAP politician Lim Guan Eng.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said it would summon the developer tomorrow to clarify the decision to give the money to Lim to distribute to the fishermen whose livelihood was affected by a reclamation project at Pulau Melaka in 1996.
