PENANG: A major obstacle in eliminating violence against women is the lack of gender-disaggregated data and statistics pertaining to such cases, said Women and Family Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.
Without such data, which contained information according to gender, programmes and activities to address the issue would be less effective, she said.
