MUAR: Trawler fishermen, particularly those from the Parit Jawa base, are vulnerable to pirate attacks and kidnappings if they fish in waters off Sumatra, said Muar marine police chief Asst Supt Abdul Salam Abdul Halim.
In issuing a warning to trawlers to stop encroaching into waters off Sumatra, ASP Abdul Salam said they were exposed to pirate attacks.
