KAMPAR: The security forces in Malaysia have always been on maximum alert, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
Abdullah, who said this in response to questions on whether there was a need to step up security measures in the wake of recent terrorist threats worldwide, said Wisma Putra would brief foreign envoys in Malaysia so that they would inform their respective countries on what the actual situation in Malaysia is.
