DEPUTY Finance Minister Datuk Chan Kong Choy has denied rumours that the lower dividend declared by the Employees Provident Fund was due to funds being channelled to support government investment arm Valuecap, reports Nanyang Siang Pau.
He said that in the past, higher dividends were declared as 70% of EPF’s investments came from government bonds.
