Cops bust trafficking ring

PENANG: A psychotropic pill trafficking syndicate was crippled with the arrest of eight people including a woman and the seizure of 22,500 such pills worth RM500,000 in Kedah and various parts of George Town on Sunday. 

Bukit Aman Narcotics Department Director Deputy Comm Datuk Mamat Talib said the syndicate’s mastermind, a 43-year-old Singaporean, his “right-hand man” and storekeeper were among those arrested.
