NIBONG TEBAL: The International Trade and Industry Ministry will hold discussions with the private sector on the effects of the Iraq war to enable the Government to take remedial action.

Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz said she would chair the discussions to gather feedback on the private sector’s preparations and problems it faced as well as the short and long-term plans.

“The ministry will use the information as the basis to draw up the next course of action. We’ll also inform them of the Government’s plan so that we can jointly act together to tackle the problems arising from the war,” she said after opening the Boon Koon Vehicles Industries Sdn Bhd's new plant. – Bernama
