KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines' (MAS) plan to hire Chinese nationals as air stewardesses while giving first priority to locals who are fluent in Mandarin, is a proper and wise strategy to attract more tourists from China, said Deputy Culture, Arts and Tourism Minister Datuk Dr Ng Yen Yen.
She said yesterday the move would facilitate accessibility and consequently help achieve the target of increasing the number of Chinese tourist arrivals to one million within the next two years.
