MALACCA: A student from SM Yok Bin here, who was congratulated for obtaining 5As in the STPM, was shocked to see his result slip showing 2As and 3Bs instead.

Lee Ze Khai, who hopes to be a doctor, is finding it hard to accept the examination results.

His cousins from another school, had seen his name among a list of students who scored 5As displayed at their school.

DEJECTED:Lee showing his result slip while his mother looks on after the press conference in Malacca yesterday.

At a press conference held by Durian Daun state assemblyman Betty Chew and former Kota Melaka MP Lim Guan Eng here yesterday, Lee said he would be writing to the Malaysian Examination Council to request that his papers be remarked.

Lim urged the council to hold a thorough investigation into the matter as two other students from Yok Bin, who were also on the list of 5A students, only scored 4As.

“The council should hold an inquiry to investigate the discrepancies,” he said.
