Undi18 voters: Political apathy or political protest?

ALTHOUGH youths aged 18 to 20 were allowed to vote for the first time in the Johor State Election on March 12, the turnout, especially for young voters, was not as expected.

Universiti Sains Malaysia political analyst Prof Dr Sivamurugan Pandian says of the 54.92% of the total turnout recorded by the Election Commission (EC), the percentage of young voters was estimated at just under 5%.
