RISE Educator Award

Nominations deadline: July 10

> Returning for its sixth year, the RISE Educator Award by Taylor’s College welcomes public nominations of teachers who go beyond the classroom to shape the future of their students and communities.

> Anchored on the theme “Celebrating Teachers Behind the Future We Share”, the 2026 edition highlights the vital role teachers play in advancing more inclusive, innovative and future-ready education.

> With a total prize pool of over RM100,000, the award celebrates teachers who demonstrate excellence in teaching, innovation in practice, and a sustained commitment to creating meaningful impact.

> Open to teachers from national, private and international schools across preschool, primary and secondary levels, this year’s award also expands its reach to include alternative education centres serving refugee and stateless children.

> Members of the public are invited to submit entries of 100 to 500 words describing how a teacher has made a meaningful difference.

> Submissions should highlight four key elements: the challenge faced, actions taken, outcomes achieved, and the longer-term impact on students or the wider community.

> From the pool of nominations, five teachers will be shortlisted for evaluation by a panel of judges, with their stories also open for public voting. The final recipient will be determined through a combined assessment of 75% jury evaluation and 25% public votes.

> The judging panel will bring together both institutional and ground-level perspectives to identify teachers who have demonstrated meaningful and measurable impact.
