SPM examinations to run from Jan 8 to March 7


PETALING JAYA: The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations for 2023 will be held from Jan 8 to March 7, says the Education Ministry.

The speaking test for Bahasa Melayu will fall from Jan 8 to Jan 11 while the speaking test for English will be from Jan 17 to Jan 23

Both the Bahasa Melayu and English hearing test will be held on Jan 29 while the written examinations will be from Jan 30 to March 7.

"In total, a total of 395,870 candidates have registered to sit for the SPM Year 2023 exam in 3,340 units examination centers across the country," said the Ministry in a statement on Monday (Jan 1).

"A total of 129,635 examination officers have been appointed to ensure smooth management and handling of examinations," it added.

The Ministry then said that candidates may refer to the exam timetable for information from the Examination Board (LP) website via lp.moe.gov.my.

"Candidates are reminded to bring identification documents and their Examination Registration Statement to the examination center. Candidates must also adhere to standard operating procedures and rules set to ensure the smooth management of the SPM examination Year 2023," it added.
