UNIVERSITIES must ensure that knowledge within their walls is made accessible to the community, says Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

“Our universities have been around for a while and we’ve accumulated all kinds of knowledge. Now, we need to transfer our knowledge to society,” he told reporters after witnessing the groundbreaking ceremony for Laman Ilmu@Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), an innovation and recreation centre located across the road from the varsity’s main campus in Bangi, Selangor.
