Alumnae walk down memory lane

“Convent Bukit Nanas (CBN) gave me the core foundation of what I stand for: ethics, principles, integrity and courage. My fond memories range from taking part in Sports Day or Physical Education (PE) in the lower or upper fields, to playing hopscotch, lompat getah, congkak and batu seremban in the white or red hall; from navigating school, the performing arts and national athlete life to learning to recognise right from wrong – all within the school’s historical architecture. CBN was home to grassroots sports development such as rhythmic gymnastics founded by Cikgu Petrina Low. It was a safe space to thrive, which empowered me to pursue gymnastics and my current fields of surgery, leadership and education.”

Former national rhythmic gymnast Dr Farrah-Hani Imran, class of 1994, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre Plastic Surgery, Burns Unit and Wound Care Team head and senior lecturer
