AUSMAT - Over 110 World Awards To-Date
Sunway College’s Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) programme is considered the most established and largest overseas provider in the world, awarded with over 110 “World Awards” to-date.
AUSMAT qualification allows students access to renowned universities in Australia, as well as institutions of higher learning in the USA, the UK, Canada, Singapore and New Zealand. Due to that, it is well accepted as part of the criteria for undergraduate programmes in any Malaysian private university.
Sunway College prepares students for the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) and is the only provider of that certification in Malaysia to offer the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) and general courses.

A-Level- 57.8% Straight A*/As and 100% Pass Rate
The A-Level was developed in the UK in 1951 and has since been the best ticket to get on board most top UK universities. It is in fact, considered the benchmark in British educational excellence.
As the world-acclaimed British qualification, the Cambridge GCE A-Level programme in Sunway College holds a remarkable record of 57.8% achieving straight A*/As and a 100% passing rate with over 229 “Top in the World” and in Malaysia awards to-date.
Sunway College also produces the highest number of students with the A-Level “Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards” in Malaysia.
A-Level alumna Melanie Yeon Wong Mun said, “It’s true that the A-Level programme is demanding, be that as it may, I would do it all again and choose Sunway once more.”
Yeon described that the A-Level programme taught at Sunway is student-oriented and has a dedicated programme director with facilitators who concentrate on providing students the highest quality of education.
“A-Level at Sunway is truly above the rest”, she added.
CIMP- No.1 World-Ranked Ontario Education System
The Canadian International Matriculation Programme (CIMP) programme offered at Sunway College is the only Canadian Year 12 School curriculum delivered in this country that adheres to the requirements laid out by the Ministry of Education and Training of the Ontario Province, Canada.
The current CIMP faculty in Sunway has an accumulation of over 370 years of teaching experience, with members having taught in 29 countries, in addition to Malaysia.
Alumna Swarna Laxmi Selvaraja shared that “CIMP is a programme that taught me how to balance my academic and extracurricular activities to be a more accomplished individual.”
She explained that the programme gave her countless opportunities to realise her full potential and pursue her passions.
“I will certainly carry the experience and vast knowledge that I have gained through my time at CIMP with me in the future, ” she said.
MUFY- Internationally recognised direct pathway to Monash University
As one of Australia's leading universities, Monash University ranks among the world's top 100 and has helped to change lives through its research and education.
Sunway College is the only academic institution to provide a foundation course for that university with the Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) programme.
The MUFY programme transitions students into a successful undergraduate position in Monash or other universities.

It is recognised by all Australian universities, selected New Zealand and UK universities, branch campuses of foreign universities in Malaysia and other local private universities.
Based on the result of the 2019 cohort, 754 graduates achieved an average high distinction with a score of 80% and above.
MUFY alumnus Ryan Khoo Lay King said, “I can confidently say that MUFY has helped me establish a solid foundation in my studies.
“The programme has also helped me to develop a strong sense of discipline and high degree of self-motivation.”

Sunway Foundation Programme- Over 80% of Graduates Qualified for Jeffrey Cheah ACE Scholarship
The highest number of Sunway University’s first class honours graduates – about 47% – are from the Sunway Foundation Programme.
This foundation programme is streamed into the Foundation in Arts (FIA) and the Foundation in Science & Technology (FIST). Based on last year’s result, 33% of graduates achieved CGPA 3.75 and above.
Both the foundation programmes create academic pathways for students to transition smoothly into tertiary level studies at Sunway University or to selected local and overseas universities.
FIA alumna Andrea Lee An Qi commented that the FIA programme provides an excellent variety of subjects all delivered at just the right pace to ensure a positive learning experience.
“Life in FIA has really opened my eyes and established the perfect foundation to explore a world of opportunities, ” she said.
While FIST alumnus Nihaal Gill Jagraj Singh shared: “The FIST programme has been an amazing programme that has completely exceeded my expectations of what a foundation programme would be.”
He described the lecturers as being very interactive, which has helped him greatly throughout his development journey as a student and a well-rounded individual.
The Sunway Foundation Programme produces a high number of students who go on to Sunway University as first class honour graduates.
