UiTM’s solar power plant being built

UNIVERSITI Teknologi Mara (UiTM) will soon be the first higher learning institution in Malaysia to own and commercially operate a 50MW photovoltaic plant.

The large scale solar power plant - currently being constructed on a 117ha piece of land in Gambang, Pahang - is part of UiTM’s initiative to help fulfil the national aspiration of promoting Malaysia’s green technology, accelerate the country’s economy and boost sustainable development.
