NEXT Academy will be giving out 100 scholarships worth a total of RM1mil to underprivileged students next year.
The tech school aims to aid underprivileged students interested in computer programming or those who would like to learn a new skill but cannot afford the education.
The scholarships are for the institution’s nine-week bootcamp worth RM10,600.
It offers three bootcamp courses: web development, iOS development and digital marketing.
Interested candidates who are between 18 and 25 years old can apply for the scholarship.
Upon graduation, the institution will also help the students connect to exciting career opportunities within the industry.
“The economy is changing fast. Job cycles are moving faster. These days, trends are hard to predict but everyone is talking about being ‘digital’,” said NEXT Academy co-founder and CEO Josh Teng.
