TEAM Ravenous from Universiti Malaya has won the 2016 National-Level Deloitte Risk Challenge Competition.

They will be representing Malaysia at the Asean finals in Singapore in June.

The team comprises final year real estate management student Tham Kuen Wei; third year law student Sharon Jessy; first year economics student Charroogesinee Radhakrishnan and first year law student Vanessa Eunice Scully.

The competition involved financial risk, investment and company management and operations. Contestants were required to submit a full business plan with a feasibility study and business model.

There were three stages namely the preliminary round, semi-finals and finals.

The preliminary round involved essay writing primarily based on establishing a company for marketing and expanding the famous Malaysian teh tarik market globally.

The semi-finals involved a presentation on innovation while the finals stage was on starting a nanotechnology company focused on the medical industry.
