IT has been a terrific five years for Aman Shah Syed Ali. He has seen improvements in many of his pupils. Yet this bespectacled teacher is modest about his role in the changes, big and small, he brought to his charges at SK Bandar Utama Damansara (4). Petaling Jaya.

The school recently jumped from 22nd to ninth place in the recent Year Six UPSR exam. In fact, the primary school had the best grade average in the Petaling Utama district in Selangor, and Aman Shah was was one of the teachers who helped boost the school’s rankings.
