TRAINING the mind is not about promoting technical knowledge and regurgitating facts from text books. Educators and academicians who attended the seventh Taylor’s University Teaching and Learning Conference (TTLC) 2014 at the Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus concurred on the need to move away from the grade-driven education system to adopting a holistic approach to give our graduates an edge in the long run.
Themed “Holistic Education: Enacting Change”, the two-day conference saw over 250 educators, researchers and practitioners from 11 countries present papers and discuss how holistic education can be a catalyst of positive change to the existing education system.
