LEAPED Services Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian homegrown education services provider that was established in late 2010 as the education services provider to the Yayasan Amir Trust Schools Programme, is set to expand.
A wholly-owned company of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, LeapEd Services currently extends its services to 13 Yayasan Amir Trust Schools, working closely with approximately 700 teachers from the Education Ministry to help improve and transform learning for nearly 10,000 students.
“By next year, we plan to expand our services to up to 30 Yayasan Amir Trust Schools,” says LeapEd Services Sdn Bhd chief executive officer and managing director John D. Chacko.
“The Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2015 recognises that the quality of Malaysian education hinges on the capacity, skills and knowledge of the professional teaching community in this country.
“With that in mind, we want to play an active role in supporting and equipping the country’s teachers and education community towards achieving the long-term goals of our nation’s education transformation goals,” says Chacko.
He adds that LeapEd plans to strengthen existing relationships and forge new ones with key partners and stakeholders in the Malaysian education ecosystem.
“We believe in providing customised solutions that address the needs of individual schools. Performance monitoring data has shown that teachers in the Trust Schools Programme are increasingly effective in their teaching competencies, which we believe will ultimately result in improved student outcomes.
“We are proud to be supporting these teachers in their practice through our programmes and approaches,” says Chacko.
