PETALING JAYA: British universities take personal statements seriously as it represents one of the most important elements of the Universities & Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) in Britain.
According to Lauren Murphy, University of Exeter International Student Recruitment Acting Head, the personal statement is an opportunity for the University to identify with the candidate and assess their suitability for a particular academic programme and associated learning environment.
