Duty or responsibility?

Teachers know their charges best so it makes sense that their voices be heard when it comes to implementing directives that will affect teaching and student outcomes.

ALTHOUGH the words “duties” and “responsibilities” are sometimes used as synonyms for each other, there are probably subtle differences that are not immediately apparent.
