PRIVATE higher education institutions (IPTS) are encouraged to be more involved in research and development (R&D) activities.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said currently the institutions are more focused on teaching and learning only because of the higher number of undergraduate students enrolled compared to postgraduate students.
