Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) will not be receiving additional funding from the Higher Education Ministry, regardless of whether the Kedah government would reduce their quit rent back to RM150,000.
Under the Opposition, the institution’s quit rent had increased to RM1.8mil from RM150,000, when the state was under the Barisan Nasional.
