Charity walk

THE Interact Club of SMK (P) Sri Aman, Petaling Jaya is organising a charity walk to raise awareness about autism in Malaysia, to create a sense of responsibility and to encourage teens to believe that they can make a difference in another’s life.

The walk will be held on Apr 17 in conjunction with World Autism Month.

The 2km walk starts at 8am and will conclude at 1pm. There will also be entertainment performances and food sales set up by the students.

The fee to participate is RM25. Besides helping the cause, participants will also receive a T-shirt.

Public lecture

UNIVERSITI Tunku Abdul Rahman (Utar) is organising a public lecture titled ‘The Transformation of Society through Building a Research Culture: Researchers as Nation Builders’ on Apr 19 at its Petaling Jaya campus.

Educators, education-industry related stakeholders, academicians, researchers, and students are invited to attend.

The lecture will be delivered by president of the Malaysian Association for Education Prof Datuk Dr Ibrahim Ahmad Bajunid, who will address the Malaysian education system, fostering of research cultures and researchers’ contribution towards achieving the national agenda.
