THE villagers of Pekan Nabalu have reason to smile this Merdeka Day, as their children will soon have a school nearer to home to continue with their secondary education.
They can also expect the school - SMK Nabalu - to be equipped with information and communication technology (ICT) facilities, hostels, quarters for teachers, and a playing field for sports activities.
