Better pay and perks

ACADEMIC staff in medical faculties can soon look foward to better days. According to Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, the ministry will negotiate with the Public Services Department (JPA), to establish a scheme with better incentives and renumeration.

“The new scheme would place a premium on their expertise and not their rank,” said Mohamed Khaled after launching Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s Medical Centre (UKMMC) in Cheras.
