Soap can save lives

LIFEBUOY’S month-long Global Handwashing Campaign ended on a high note recently at SK Bangsar, the adopted school for Unilever (M) Holdings Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur. At the closing ceremony, students there were taught the proper way to wash their hands, using soap. Then they were treated to Wall’s Ice Cream.

Speaking at the event, Nik Mustapha Nik Mohamed, Unilever’s human resources and corporate relations director, said: “Do not take for granted that if your hands appear clean, you do not need to wash them. Unseen germs are very dangerous and there are millions of germs on our hands which are not visible.”
