Glam night

IT was a night of nostalgia when 100 ex-students and teachers of SMK Convent Muar — formerly known as Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus, Muar — celebrated its 50th birthday and held a reunion for the batch of 1975 at the Eastin Hotel in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, recently.

As befitting the theme “Glam Night”, the ladies came dressed in their best for a night of laughter and fun. Some had not met for 33 years, so there was feverish excitement in the ballroom when the “old girls” — some coming from as far away as Singapore and China — gathered in the ballroom to renew old ties.
