CIMA (The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) will be holding its Student Conference 2007 on April 14 at the Securities Commission, Kuala Lumpur.  

The conference will feature three speakers: CIMA UK director of education Robert Jelly, CIMA UK vice-president elect Aubrey Joachim, and Naresh Kalani from Cycle & Carriage Bintang Bhd.

Communications info 

SEGi College Subang Jaya is holding an event, entitled “Flavours of Communication” on April 14 at its Theatre Hall, Level Six. 

The event will run from 9am to 6pm. 

Participants will have the opportunity to explore what communications is all about, listen to real-life experiences from experts, and learn to master communication skills.

Literacy conference 

The Fifth International Literacy Conference will be held at the Berjaya Georgetown Hotel, Penang, from July 25 to 27.  

The theme is Literacy and Citizenship: Pathways to Sustainable Education. Malaysian English Language Teaching Association members must register thorough the association to get the special rate of RM230, while the normal rate is RM350.

Makyung performance by Academy students 

Third-year students of the Dance Department of Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (Aswara) will stage Makyung Anak Raja Panah, directed by Fatimah Abdullah, on April 27 to 29 at the Experimental Theatre, Aswara campus in Kuala Lumpur.  

Showtime is at 8.30pm and tickets are priced at RM5 and RM10.

MIT talk on undergrade admission 

THE Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Club of Malaysia will give a free undergraduate admissions talk for students who wish to apply to MIT.  

The talk will be held at the Royal Selangor Golf Club, Jalan Kelab Golf (off Jln Tun Razak), Kuala Lumpur, from 10.30am to noon on April 14. 

The dress code is smart casual.
