Biotechnology beckons...

TO give its students an insight into career opportunities in biotechnology, Taylor’s University College Subang Jaya recently invited Universiti Sains Malaysia’s (USM) head of the Department of Immunology Dr Norazmi Mohd Nor to speak to pre-university students on the topic.

In his talk entitled Development of Biotechnology in Malaysia, Dr Norazmi, who is the founding chairman of the Forensic Science Programme and founding deputy dean of the School of Health Sciences in USM, said Malaysia’s abundance in bio-resources and its rich environmental heritage signal vast opportunities for biotechnology research and development.
