I READ with interest the letter entitled Have we rejected the theory of evolution?(StarEducation, Jan 15). I would like to share some of my ideas with your readers.
Firstly, in any academic discipline, we have theories to explain facts. Theories contain assumptions, implications, and limitations. Academic rigour, regardless of the discipline, makes it necessary to teach and evaluate theories in context, taking into consideration the theories’ strengths, limitations, criticisms, etc.
