A really PAL-ly session


POURING grains of rice into batuseremban pockets made fromscraps of cloth cut from mum'sold sarong, listening to the ‘thud’ ofmarbles being dropped into holes ina congkak board.... All these familiarsounds were heard as traditionalgames were brought to life at thelaunch of the Nestle PAL (Play andLearn) programme held recently atSekolah Sri KDU. 

The Nestle PAL programme is acollaborative project with UniversitiKebangsaan Malaysia, theMalaysian Association for the Studyof Obesity (MASO) and theNutrition Society of Malaysia. Morethan 100 primary school pupils participatedin the traditional games atthe launch.
