SEVERAL reports in the newspapers recently highlighted the need for teachers to embrace lifelong learning if they are to remain relevant to the times we live in.
Lifelong learning is not simply the piling on of knowledge. Research says two important factors underpinning successful learning are to want to learn and the ability to make sense of knowledge, and use it to service, advance or improve one’s situation.
