Figuring out difficult words

MAKING sentences is one of the most difficult parts of the SPM Bahasa paper. 

What do you do if you are given a word you never saw or heard before? Often, such a word is paired with a more familiar one. For example: 

Bina satu ayat dengan setiap kata dalam pasangan berikut supaya jelas perbezaan maknanya: 

1.       a) cemerlang b) cemerkap 

2.       a) puntung b) kuntung 

3.       a) negara b) nagara
